Boys baseball travel team & tournament team tryouts for the 2009 season will be held this Summer.
9U & 10U: August 17th 2008 @ 6:00 PM @ the 10u field in front of the high school. The makeup date will be August 25th @ 6:00 PM @ the 10U field.
11U & 12U: August 18th 2008 @ 6:00 PM @ the 12U field behind Schavey Elementary. The makeup date will be August 24th 2008, @ 6:00 PM @ the 12U field.
13U & 14U: August 17th 2008 @ 6:00 PM @ the 14U field behind Schavey Elementary. The makeup date will be August 25th 2008 @ the 14U field.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
2009 AGE CHANGE UPDATE!
Begining in 2009 DYBSA Board has made a policy change to allow kids to play up, one age group if it will be grade specific for the individual child. An example: If your child falls into the 12U age group, but he is young for his grade& his classmates are playing 13U-your son can now tryout for 13U. They will not be required to do this, and can still play age appropriate as well. This means you might want him to tryout for both 12U & 13U teams.

Rap Artist Known as "Dolla-Dolla"
The 14 U baseball team caught up with the rap artist known as "Dolla-Dolla" during their over night stay @ the West Bloomfield Holiday Inn. The rapper is from Atlanta & opens for "Akon". Dolla-Dolla signed all the kids autographs & posed with every ball player for a photo.
